San Diego, CA (January 20, 2004): SWAG Company Inc., a 2 1/2-year old start-up based in San Diego, develops and manufactures Loopies - unique toys for children and pets. Their product lines, Loopies For Kids? and Loopies For Pets?, are now distributed worldwide: US, Canada, South America, England and Japan. But it's not just the kids and critters that love these crazy geometric looking toys, they are also winning the interest of top celebrities like Ellen Degeneres who personally requested that Loopies Toys be a part of her "Holiday Great Gift Ideas" segment on the Ellen Degeneres Show. The show aired in December and spiked Loopies sales to help SWAG close out 2003 with over 150% growth from 2002.
"It's so exciting to see all of our hard work starting to pay-off," says Cindy DeAngelis-Duffy, President and Co-founder of SWAG. "We have been very lucky with the exposure we've received this year and we can't wait to see what happens next."
Loopies for Pets was named "Top 25 Most Exciting Pet Products for 2003" by Pet Age Magazine, the country's largest trade magazine in the pet industry, and given the magazine's Pinnacle Award for the second year in a row. With over 1000 retail specialty pet stores in the US and growing, SWAG hopes to double their distributorship by the end of this year.
Loopies for Kids is not far behind with a recent announcement that Loopies for Kids was given the prestigious Oppenheim Gold Award for "2004" which will rank Loopies among top brands such as Tonka and Baby Einstein. Oppenheim, along with the nationally distributed Parenting Magazine (December issue) and an ABC Emmy Award winning morning show scheduled to interview SWAG and showcase their latest products, is providing SWAG with just the kind of exposure any new company would hope for.
